What's going on? Is there a problem with the charger or integration. Why are you unable to give enphase users a update?

I love Enphase with the micro-inverters. The output by my solar system has been amazing and has exceeded my expectations. All panels, north, south, east and west are performing better than I expected. Thank you Enphase. Susan from Qld Australia.

Any updates on this, @Enphase Energy? I'd love to use my Rivian as home backup battery since its battery is an order of magnitude larger than the home battery in my Enphase system currently. And Rivian has said they'll support V2L/V2H/V2G once there are home V2x EVSEs on the market.

Here's my question... Are the solar panels actually powering directly to the house when the grid is down or just the battery? If I lose power for a week or 2, the battery will only last a day or two, right? Yeah the solar is charging the batteries when the sun is out but the battery should only be the backup to the solar panels when the grid is down. Split phase to keep the power steady and the batteries pick up the difference. I want this system, but I want it where when the grid is down, the panels are powering the house or at least 1-2 rooms in the house on their own while the sun is out and the battery is only used for night, power fluctuations, and cloudy days. This is only for grid down scenarios. Is that how your system works? If it is I'll make an appointment tomorrow. If I'm only relying on the battery, that doesn't help me when I'm needing to replace it every 5-7 years because of capacity loss or we get into the realm of an attack where the grid is down for a year or more. Those panels need to do the bulk of the lifting for me. Not just the battery.

It's not adding up. Speed is miles per hour. In other words, miles divided by hours. Power is a Watt of killowat. The rate of use should be kw divided by hours. It's power over time. I'm trying to figure out why we use kilowatt-hours which is kilowatts multiplied by time.

In 2:50 you mentioned (ignoring the grammar) “kWh is a measure of energy which is power over time” or in other words “energy = power / time” which is a bit confusing. Energy is measured in Joules. Power (Watt) is energy (Joule) over time (second) or 1 Watt = 1 Joule per 1 second. Hence by definition, kWh is 1000 x (Joules / sec) x hour. If we convert and strike off the time units, then you are right, kWh is effectively just Joules (energy). But a better statement would be “kWh is a measure of total energy in a period of time”.

is Enphase going to swtich to NACS plugs like everyone else?

What?? Ok one 100 watt bulb is 1kwh at 10 hours…so ok let’s say your day is 10 hrs that’s still over 260kwh it’s like 325 a lil closer to 365 cmon. $162.50 for the year 13$ a month for one light bulb

Hallo Habe folgendes Problem ,habe mir dieses IQ8MC Microinverter auch zugelegt und die Solarmodule haben aber 430 Watt. Jetzt gibt es Probleme bei der Anmeldung ,was wird angemeldet die gesamte Leistung der Wechselrichter 12 X 325 oder der Module 12 X 420 , die Leistung die ich aber nie erhalten werde . Grund ist eine zweitannahme durch die falsche Anmeldung geht sehr viel Geld verloren ,was ist richtig. Bei Balkonkraftwerken werden auch nur die Wechselrichter ( 600 Watt ) gerechnet und nicht die Leistung der Module. danke im voraus

At almost double the cost of my current internet connected charger that 'schedules', let me know if this charger goes on sale or there is a coupon. I'd love to pick one up for my site. Also, does this charger have the ability beyond 'scheduling' to ramp up and down according to how much energy the solar panels are generating, or based on energy being sent back to the grid? Also, any chance of getting a NACs (SAE J3400) connector instead of the soon to be outdated J1772 connector?

I’ve had solar with Enphase and Sunpro for about 3 yrs now. Have been in the black selling back to the grid since. In essence I’m just paying for the panels now, which I made sure I got in payments per month what I paid on average for electricity at the time. And where I live if rates go up I still sell back dollar for dollar to the grid. And it’s transferable to the next owner if I sell my home. Solar needs to be offered on every new construction home. Great investment. In the future I’ll invest in battery backup too. And no I’m not some tree huggin hippie who thinks fossil fuels are the devil. I’ll drive cross plane V8’s till I’m pushing daisies. But this is how I contribute.
